                <l>BODY, whence come mind and soul?</l>

                <l>"Ah," said the Body, "from me:</l>
                <l>I am a tree, and mind and soul are the fruit...</l>
                <l>Ages of fecund weather and nourishing dark experience,</l>
                <l>And the strong sun of love and hate,</l>
                <l>And rain of grey adversity,</l>
                <l>Have begotten at last, you, loved wonder immortal!"</l>

                <l>I shall despise you no longer: but revere you and watch over
