                    hyphenated at the end of a line, which we have silently emended. Where Craik
                    uses a non-standard spelling, we have encoded both her spelling and the standard
                    Oxford English Dictionary spelling to facilitate searching. The long s is not
                    encoded.</p>

I hope you will not call at Wildwood during my absence which however is but short.

Would it suit you to pay me a visit on Friday June 3rd (or Thursday 2nd ). Which suits you best? – I have besides the pelasure of making your acquaintaince, one or two business matters to speak to you about. If you would "come to tea" – in our old-fashioned way. 6P.M. – my brother would be at home - & would be happy to see you.
