My dear Mrs. Hall

I have been here five weeks – & Mrs. Laing comes to me on Monday next – when I hope to hear all about you. – To answer questions. – — And I have no Photo: – extant. – so dear friend you must just imagine me.—

So glad that you & Mr. Hall are well – & Fanny & Sanford so happy. – Is it true what the papers say that you are to edit a girl’s magazine? –

I go home on 19:th March – after a long absence of two months – which has done me great good. But Mrs. Laing will tell you my news – which is nihil – – as I look to her to tell me all yours. – Goodbye now – my dear old friend.

Ever yours after DMM
