August 13, 1887 Dear Mr. Osgood,

In acknowledging the receipt of the £40 for the sketches of An Unknown Country – as calculated by the matters of the duplicates – I want to apologize for the wrong address – I wrote when away from home, & had not my address book – & could not remember your number – so it seemed safer to send it by Messrs. Low & Co – I shall be more exact another time.

Very truly yours, DMCraik
