I have no recent portrait of myself. So I’ll use something in the same general genre, roughly.

It was taken, now long ago, in action during a dress rehaersal with available stage lighting at 1/25th second - a hazardous but Rewarding shooting session.

The main subject, Mrs. Holmstrom, Was a most unusual and memorable person. A straight A student who did everything else (possibly one of Those people who are pointed to as proof positive of the existence of god, To exaggerate only slightly). I did hear in later times that she had raised three children and, I believe, was teaching. I’ll always remember her as she is in this picture - something a little more than special.

Such views become period pieces recording hair and dress styles and tools (no calculator, computer or W.P.S, faxs, etc). This was one of a 101 card set I made CRITICISMS (NOTE - DO NOT WRITE ON ENVELOPE in 1977 WITH VIEW INSIDE.) in anticipation of the 30th anniversary of the campus and granting of 4 yr status (it became Behrend College … about 1980...of PSU). It was a good idea at the time but I knew little of mounting viewcards and most of the 101 views have too much separation (and other something) to pass something now (print quality was no problem though). About this time we started The Exchange Club (APEC) and later The Society Print circuit and I learned what I had been something around in the dark looking for.
